INSTALLATION art

Most of my Installations are rooted in ecoartivism — The practice of using art as a tool for the advocacy of the preservation, restoration, or improvement of the natural environment; especially: the movement to control pollution.

My work explores imagery from science altered by imagination, myth and history of bodies of water. I have a particular passion for the Hudson River and frequently use it as a model in exploring art that engage the public in a dialogue with nature. I use many different materials floating in and embedded in multiple layers of resin, which gives you the feeling of looking into flowing currents and watery depths. I see my work as mapping the unseen through the play of light, shadow, color and liquid imagery.
